Chairman Waxman on Children’s Health Care
February 25th, 2010 | by health |
Today, the House will take up legislation to concur with the Senate amendments to H.R. 2, State Childrens Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) Reauthorization Act. Passage by the House will send the bill to the Presidents desk for his signature. This legislation reauthorizes and improves SCHIP. The Senate-passed version is very similar to the bill that the House passed on January 14 by a vote of 289-139. SCHIP was created in 1997 to provide health care coverage for children in modest-income families that earn too much for Medicaid, but not enough to afford private insurance. Over the last ten years, it has proven to be a successful and cost-effective program for providing health care.

This bill covers Children up to age 30. I wish they would say this whenever they say Children.

I’m all for children having accessable healthcare, and I agree that having the get your medical attention from the ER is rediculous.
But taking another perspective on the situation, maybe we should do something about people having so many damn children, I know it sounds either comedic, communistic, maybe cruel, and I know it would infringe upon our freedom to set up some type of child having rules, but maybe commercials promoting masturbation, or just flat our stop having kids advertisments

Considering how badly government fucks ups everything but the wars they fight, this stupid child health care boondoggle will be a doozie!

Henry Waxman, I never knew your were a rep. from California but I am now a fan.
This bill is one of the most important to me right now.
I’m expecting in September and well neither I or my Fiance’ can “afford to buy a private health insurance plan” as Bush put it.
Thank you for putting it into perspective with ‘’school” reference.
You and every other member of congress that votes to get this passed are doing the Lords Work.
