How to Help People the Health Ranger Way (aid to Ecuador homeless)
July 23rd, 2009 | by health |TheHealthRanger asked:
The Health Ranger goes to work in Ecuador, helping the homeless cover basic needs such as clothing, food and a mattress. In this segment, Mike Adams goes shopping for a mattress and clothing, bringing it to a woman living in a shack on the side of the road. The message? If you want to help people, get out and do it!

Too bad we couldn’t all chip in and buy some land down there and start a massive organic farming operation, giving these poor people jobs, and us healthy foods we cannot grow here.
We could pay excellent wages, and enforce strict farming practices to ensure the best food possible.
Remember, you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. You teach a man to fish, you feed him for life.

Beautiful! We live in Costa Rica and this kind of poverty is all around us. Interesting that right across the road from this woman’s home, is a huge gringo mansion under construction. Ridiculous.
Thank you, Mike.

Wonderful feeling to give.
Besides the worldly goods (for which she is but just another ungrateful taker) what she really needs is a bath.

This is amazingly humane, and with the wars and the food shortages happening, it brightened my day to see that there is hope if we support eachother and act responsibly.
Thanks for showing us what it means to be a good citizen of the world. PEOPLE be KIND to EVERYONE!

Absolutely cybersphere. The US gov carries on about the US being the best nation in the world for so many reaons and yet there are 60 million without health cover, millions homeless etc.
The day the military industrial complex has to hold a cake sale to raise funds, that’s the day the US gov is doing something right.

I totally agree with you. I get a lot of slack from my own family for raising money for Darfur. and they say what about your own country. I feel like we as a nation have that responsibility and not only that I’d really like to think I was helping but there is so much beauracracy that keeps people in need from actually recieving it. FEMA would be a good example of that. I figure helping anybody from any country is worthwhile.

Looks like she needs a shower.
Also, wouldn’t it have been better to take her into town and let her choose her own clothes?

Isn’t that something the US Government should be doing something about?
It’s pitiful that the most powerful nation on earth can’t adequately care for their own people, yet they can afford to build weapons of mass destruction.

Can’t stand flip flops personally (an arch support issue), BUT I love how you asked her directly what she needed & didn’t impose a superficial standard of living on her. I actually admire the fact that she has her own chickens and lives so independant of any Orwellian control grid. Love the message of caring for someone else’s needs & making it a personal interaction. You and her are both an inspiration to me!
